New! Cat. # 2TS11cc high-affinity antibodies specific to human thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH)

25.08.2025

Assessing human thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels in blood is critical for evaluating patients with hyperthyroidism and for monitoring those undergoing post-surgical management of differentiated thyroid cancer.

Hytest is thrilled to announce the launch of new high-affinity monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) (Cat. # 2TS11cc — MAbs TS13, TS18, TS21, TS25, TS31, and TS32) specific to human TSH. These novel sheep MAbs enable the quantification of extremely low TSH concentrations in human serum and recognize both the TSH R55G variant and wild-type (WT) TSH, ensuring accurate detection in samples from individuals carrying the R55G mutation.

Designed for customers’ 4th-generation TSH assay development, our recommended MAb combinations deliver high sensitivity and specificity with no cross-reactivity to other glycoprotein hormones. Prototype immunoassays using recommended MAb pairs (see Table) achieved a functional sensitivity of less than 0.001 μIU/mL.

Alongside the launch of TSH antibodies, Hytest recently presented a poster on TSH at ADLM 2025 in Chicago. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can view it here. We’d also like to highlight our recent launched recombinant TSH antigen (Cat. #8HTS7), which closely mimics the native form.
