Source:
Tachyzoites, Toxoplasma gondii strain RH
Tachyzoites used for antigen purification are checked for infectivity and found to be negative.
Purification:
Extraction and high-speed centrifugation.
Presentation:
50 mM Tris-HCl pH 8.0, 0.005 % thimerosal, 40 µM PMSF, 20 µg/ml aprotinin.
Inactivation:
Thimerosal
This product has been treated in a manner consistent with methods of inactivation. Generally accepted good laboratory practices appropriate to microbiological/viral safe handling practices and techniques are required at work.
Analysis:
SDS-PAGE and immunoblotting with monoclonal antibodies and human IgG positive anti-Toxoplasma gondii serum.
Storage:
- 20 oC
Material safety note:
Contains thimerosal (0.005 %) as preservative. Although the amount of thimerosal is very small, appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
