PRODUCT NAME: Monoclonal mouse anti-respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)
CATALOGUE #: 3ReS21

MAbs:
8C5, 9C5, 8B10

Hybridoma clones have been derived from hybridization of Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunised with purified RSV, strain Long.

Specificity:
F protein for MAb 9C5, G protein for MAb 8C5, nucleoprotein (N) for MAb 8B10.
MAb 9C5 is highly reactive with the surface domains of both mature RSV virions and "empty" virion envelopes without formed inner nucleocapsid structures. MAb 8B10 is reacting well only with mature virions with completely assembled nucleocapsids. MAb 8B10 is failing to recognize the N-protein epitope of immature and destroyed virions, which indicates on conformation dependence of the MAb
8B10 binding site.

MAb isotypes:
IgG1 for MAb 8B10
IgG2b for MAbs 8C5 and 9C5

Applications:
Detection of RSV, MAb 8B10 can be used for detection of incomplete virus assembly.
All MAbs are working in ELISA.
MAbs can also be used in lateral flow.

Purification:
Chromatography on protein G Sepharose

Presentation:
PBS, pH 7.4, 0.1 % sodium azide (NaN3)

Storage:
+ 4 °C

Material safety note:
This product is sold as an antibody preparation for research use only. Standard Laboratory Practices should be followed when handling this material.
Contains sodium azide (0.1 %) as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
