Monoclonal mouse anti-rat proinsulin

Hybridoma clones have been derived from hybridization of Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunized with fragment of rat proinsulin conjugated with a carrier protein.
Specificity:
Rat proinsulin

IgG1 for MAbs CCI-10 and CCI-17
IgG2b for MAb CCI-3
Applications:
All MAbs recognize rat proinsulin in ELISA and Sandwich type immunoassay. MAbs bind specifically to proinsulin and do not bind to insulin or C-peptide. See our "Rat C-peptide and proinsulin" TechNotes for more information.
For sandwich immunoassay it is recommended to use MAbs in pairs with MAbs specific to N-terminal part of C-peptides I and II (see also the data sheet for Cat.# 2I3 and Rat C-peptide and proinsulin TechNotes for more information).
