Prostate-specific antigen (PSA)

Source:
Human seminal fluid.
Blood sample from donor was tested and found negative for HBsAg, HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibodies, and HCV.
Applications:
PSA is a protein produced by both normal and abnormal prostate cells. The PSA level in the blood may be elevated in men who have a benign or a malignant (cancerous) growth in the prostate. PSA is suitable for use as a standard in immunoassay for screening and monitoring of prostatic neoplasia, immunogen for antisera production, and tracer for iodination.
Analysis:
Purity > 98 % (SDS-PAGE).
Immunological identity confirmed by reaction with PSA specific monoclonal antibody.
Presentation:
Lyophilized from 5% mannitol, 10 mM Na-acetate, 0.15 M NaCl, pH 5.6.
Product is recommended to reconstitute with distilled water.
