PRODUCT NAME: Human recombinant proBNP (human brain natriuretic peptide precursor)
CATALOGUE #: 8PRO9
Source:
Recombinant E. coli
Application:
Calibrator or standard in immunoassays, immunogen for antibody production.
Analysis:
Purity > 95 % (Tricine-SDS-PAGE).
Concentration is determined spectrophotometrically.
Immunoreactivity is confirmed by reaction with monoclonal antibodies specific to different fragments of proBNP molecule.
Predicted molecular mass 12036 Da confirmed by MALDI-MS.
Recombinant human proBNP contains additional methionine residue at the N-terminus (in comparison with native proBNP).
Human recombinant proBNP also contains one intramolecular disulfide bond between residues Cys87 and Cys103.
Purification:
Immunoaffinity purification followed by ion exchange chromatography.
Presentation:
10 mM potassium phosphate, pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl.
Storage:
- 70 °C
Other information:
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. It is recommended to aliquot the product after the first thawing.
To prepare diluted samples of proBNP it is recommended to use buffer solutions containing carrier protein and detergent (e.g. 0.05 M Tris-HCl, pH 7.8, 0.15 M NaCl, 0.01 % Tween 40, 0.5 % bovine serum albumin).
