Myoglobin free serum

Source:
Pooled normal human serum.
Blood samples from donors were tested and found to be negative for HBsAg, HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibodies, and HCV.
Application:
Myoglobin free serum can be used for preparation of human myoglobin standards and calibrators.
Analysis:
Based on ELISA testing the level of myoglobin in myoglobin free serum is below 0.1 ng/ml.
Purification:
Immunoaffinity chromatography of pooled normal human serum.
Gel for affinity column was prepared by coupling anti-myoglobin monoclonal antibodies (several monoclonal antibodies specific to the N-terminal, C-terminal and central parts of myoglobin molecule) with BrCN-activated Sepharose CL 4B.
