Source:
Human heart tissue.
Blood samples from donors were tested and found to be negative for HBsAg, HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibodies, HCV, and syphilis.
Applications:
Myoglobin is suitable as a reference or standard in immunoassay for early diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction, immunogen for antibody production, immunological and mass myoglobin standard, myoglobin biochemical and immunochemical studies, labeling.
Analysis:
Purity > 98 % (SDS-PAGE).
Immunological activity confirmed by reaction with monoclonal antibody specific for human myoglobin.
Presentation:
Lyophilized from protein solution in 20 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.5.
Storage:
- 20 °C in lyophilized form.
After reconstitution store at - 20 °C.
Other information:
In the year 2001 HyTest's myoglobin preparation was selected by International Federation of Clinical Chemistry as an International Standard Material.
