Hybridoma clone has been derived from hybridization of Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunised with mixture of light chains of human immunoglobulin.

Specificity:
Specific for independent constantly expressed epitope of kappa chain.
Reacts with free monomer and dimer of kappa light chains but not with intact kappa bearing immunoglobulins.
Specific antibody titer is 1/200 000 by indirect ELISA.

MAb isotypes:
IgG1 for MAb 4C11

Applications:
Detection of kappa Bence-Jones proteins in ELISA. MAb 4C11 can be used for coating and as conjugate.
MAb 4C11 can be used for immunoaffinity purification of light chains.
MAb 4C11 works in immunoblotting.

Purification:
Chromatography on protein A Sepharose
