Hybridoma clones have been derived from hybridization of X63-Ag8-653 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunized with purified enterotoxin A from FRI-722H strain of St. aureus.

Specificity:
MAb S1 - enterotoxins A, D, E of St. aureus
MAb S2 - enterotoxins A, D of St. aureus
MAb S5 - enterotoxins B, C1, C2, D of St. aureus
Specificity of MAb were established in indirect ELISA using standard staphylococcal enterotoxins A, B, C1, C2, D, E from Serva (Germany) at appropriate dilution of ascitic fluids. Percentage of cross-reactivity is shown in the table below. At 0.1 µM MAb S5 inhibits enterotoxins induced stimulation of T-lymphocytes in vitro.
