Source:
Human brain tissue. Blood sample from the tissue donors was tested and found negative for HBsAg, HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibodies, HCV, and syphilis.
Applications:
One of the main neural ganglioside with disialo linkage. May act as a co-receptor for bacterial toxins (tetanus, botulinus) and marker of neural tumors (astroglioma). Can be used as immunogen for production of monoclonal antobodies that do not cross-react with GT1b or GD2.
Analysis:
Purity more than 98 % by HPTLC. MW 1811
Presentation:
Lyophilized from water solution.
Storage:
-20 °C in lyophilized form.
After reconstitution the solution should be stored at -20 °C.
