Human cardiac troponin I
Antigen source:
Human cardiac tissue.
Blood sample from the tissue donor was tested and found negative for HBsAg, HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibodies, HCV, and syphilis.
Antigen presentation:
1 x 5 µg vial, lyophilized from protein solution in 250 mM Tris-HCl, pH 6.8, 8% SDS, 40% sucrose,
4% 2-mercaptoethanol, 0.1% bromophenole blue.
Antigen reconstitution:
Dissolving in 5 mM 2-mercaptoethanole solution with gentle, but thorough shaking.
Set applications:
Cardiac troponin I immunodetection in Western blotting and DOT blot, using Troponin I sample as internal standard or calibrator.
Sample preparation:
MAb 4C2 is ready to use in Western blotting. Recommended working concentration is 5 µg/ml.
Antigen is ready to use after reconstitution. The vial contains 5 µg of human cardiac troponin I. Add 50 µl of 5 mM 2-mercaptoethanole into the vial and dissolve the pellet with gentle stirring. After dissolving centrifuge the vial briefly to collect all the liquid to the bottom of the vial.

This product is sold for research use only. Standard Laboratory Practices should be followed when handling this material. Antibody preparation contains sodium azide (0.1 %) as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
