Hybridoma clones have been derived from hybridization of Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunized with calcitonin conjugated with carrier protein.

Specificity:
Human calcitonin and procalcitonin

IgG1 for MAbs 24B2, 13F2, 13G11, 14A2, 24B2
IgG2a for MAb 13B9
IgG2b for MAb 16B5

Applications:
Detection of human calcitonin in ELISA.
All MAbs can also be used for procalcitonin detection in Western blotting after SDS-electrophoresis in reducing conditions.
Recommended pairs for sandwich immunoassay (coating - conjugate) : 13B9 - 13F2, 24B2 - 13B9
