Monoclonal mouse anti-transferrin
Cat.# 4T15
MAbs:
2A2, 1C10, 8B9, 11D3, 12A6
Hybridoma clones for MAbs 2A2 and 1C10 have been derived from hybridization of Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells of a Balb/c mice immunized with purified transferrin from pooled human plasma.
Hybridoma clones for MAbs 8B9, 11D3 and 12A6 have been derived from hybridization of Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunized with placental transferrin receptor or transferrin.
Specificity:
Human transferrin for all MAbs.
Complex between transferrin and soluble transferrin receptor for MAbs 8B9 and 11D3.
MAb 2A2 reacts with N-terminal domain of human transferrin with Kd=2.85 x 10-11 M. MAbs 2A2 and 1C10 do not cross-react with mouse, rabbit, bovine transferrin and with human lactoferrin.
MAb isotypes:
IgG1 for all MAbs
Applications:
Detection of transferrin in serum by sandwich immunoassay. Detection of transferrin - transferrin receptor complex by sandwich ELISA. All MAbs are working in ELISA.
Recommended pairs for transferrin detection by sandwich immunoassay (coating – conjugate):
8B9 – 11D3
8B9 – 12A6
1C10 – 2A2
1C10 – 12A6
11D3 – 1C10
11D3 – 8B9
Recommended MAbs for transferrin-transferrin receptor complex detection by ELISA sandwich method using anti-transferrin receptor MAb 23D10 (cat.No # 4Tr26) as coating:
23D10 – 8B9, 23D10 – 11D3
At 10-6 M MAbs 2A2 and 1C10 inhibit proliferation of Con-A stimulated peripheral blood lymphocytes. MAb 2A2 is working in indirect immunofluorescence on fixed, paraffin embedded human brain tissue.
Purification:
Chromatography on protein A Sepharose for MAbs 8B9, 11D3 and 12A6, and chromatography on protein G Sepharose for MAbs 2A2 and 1C10
Presentation:
PBS, pH 7.4, 0.1 % sodium azide (NaN3)
