Human brain tissue. Blood sample from the tissue donors was tested and found negative for HBsAg, HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibodies, HCV, and syphilis.
Applications:
One of the main neural gangliosides. Useful as a differentiation marker of tumor cell growth. Readily converted to GM1 by bacterial and other sialidase from mammalian sources without detergent.
Analysis:
Purity more than 98 % by HPTLC. MW 1811
Presentation:
Lyophilized from water solution.
Storage:
-20 °C in lyophilized form.
After reconstitution the solution should be stored at -20 °C.
